不要成为自己情緒的奴隸.

當別人對你說了一些刺傷你的話，批評你、羞辱你，你會怎樣？
你會火冒三丈，氣呼呼地罵回去，或是忍氣吞聲地強壓下來？
然後呢？你是否會愈想愈氣，整個情緒都大受影響？

有天，佛陀行經一個村莊，一些前去找他的人對他說話很不客氣，甚至口出穢言。
佛陀站在那裡仔細地、靜靜地聽著，然後說：「謝謝你們來找我，不過我正趕路，
下一村的人還在等我，我必須趕過去。不過等明天回來之後我會有較充裕的時間，
到時候如果你們還有什麼話想告訴我，再一起過來好嗎？」
那些人簡直不敢相信他們耳朵所聽到的話，和眼前所看到的情景：這個人是怎麼回事？
其中一個人問佛陀：「難道你沒有聽見我們說的話嗎？我們把你說得一無是處，你卻沒有任何反應！」
佛陀說：「假使你要的是我的反應的話，那你來得太晚了，你應該十年前就來的，那時的我就會有所反應。 然而，這十年以來我己經不再被別人所控制，我己經不再是個奴隸，我是自己的主人。我是根據自己在做事，而不是跟隨別人在反應。」

是的，如果有人對你生氣，那是「他的」問題；
如果他侮辱你，那是「他的」問題；
如果他粗暴無禮，那仍是「他的」問題。
因為他要怎麼說，怎麼做，那是「他的」修養，
你能怎麼辦？
讓我再重複一遍佛陀所說的：「我己經不再被別人所控制，我己經不再是個奴隸，我是自己的主人。
我是根據自己在做事，而不是跟隨別人在反應。」
你是情緒的主人，而不是奴隸。

曾聽過一則故事─

有個人每天都固定向某報攤買一份報紙，儘管這個攤販的臉一向都很臭，但他還是每次都對小販客氣地說聲謝謝。
有一次和他同行的朋友看到這情形，便問他：「他每天賣東西都是這種態度嗎？」
「是的。」
「那你為什麼還對他如此客氣？」
那人回答：「我為什麼要讓他決定我的行為？」
是啊！我們為什麼要讓別人的表現來決定自己的行為呢？

就像靜思語說的:"生氣是拿別人的過錯來懲罰自己." 別人做錯事為何自己要生氣難受?所以想要生氣時想想這句話.不要那麼傻,生氣會很快變老喔.

你放下了吗？

曾经看过一个佛典故事，有一位婆罗门修行者因为听闻佛陀的智慧，两手拿了两个花瓶，前来献佛，想跟佛陀请教快速解脱之道。
佛陀对婆罗门说：“放下！”。修行者他左手拿的那个花瓶放下。
佛陀又说：“放下！” 。修行者又把他右手拿的那花瓶放下。
然而，佛陀还是对他说：“放下！”
这时修行者说：“我已经两手空空，没有什么可以再放下了，请问现在你要我放下什么？”
佛陀说：“我要你放下的是你的六根、六尘和六识, 把有所求的欲念全部都统统放下，再没有什么了，你就可以从生死桎梏中解脱出来。” 修行者才了解佛陀放下的道理。

“放下！”这是非常不容易做到的，当人一有了功名，就对功名放不下； 有了金钱，就对金钱放不下；有了爱情，就对爱情放不下；有了事业，就对事业放不下。

想想我们这一生中拥有的东西，除了那些你不再眷恋了，不再喜欢的人、事、物你可以放下以外，有哪一些你很珍惜，却能放下的吗？甚至心中对于某个人的爱恨情仇你都能放下了吗？你有什么想放下的吗？很多人可能会说想放下工作，好好的到处去旅行散心，放松心情回来后再重新冲刺。当然也有很多人非常享受工作带来的满足感，甚至无法接受没有上班的日子。那些不喜欢工作的人很多时候是为了生活而工作，而那些享受工作的人却是为了工作而生活。

也有人选择想放下家庭责任，自我逃避放逐。如今的社会，夫妻俩都需背负起家里经济责任，放下工作就表示失去生活经济来源，这是很多月光族所不敢奢望的。其实要放下并不困难，把生活欲望减低，不要奢侈花费，回归清贫生活，就会过得轻安自在，清茶淡饭也是人间美味，大鱼大肉到头来反会因此患上高胆固醇及心脏病。不要为了生活，失去了健康及生活品质，这将会得不偿失。
　　
我们人在扛在肩上的重担，在心上的压力，岂止手上的花瓶？这些重担与压力，可以说使人生活过得非常艰苦。必要的时候，学习佛陀指示的“放下”，不失为一条幸福解脱之道！
